I was very pleased with this hotel, I thought that it was good value for a hotel in a very good location. Be realistic that this is a simple, family run hotel. I stayed in a twin room on the 4th floor that had plenty of space and a sink and bidet in the room. The bathroom was along the corridor - it was quite cramped, but it was fine - and there was lots of hot water. There was never a queue for the bathroom which was great. Our room and the bathroom were clean and tidy. We did hear a bit of noise from the street eg trams, but it didn't keep me awake.
The family who run the hotel were friendly, and most of them spoke reasonable or good English. The lady who checked us in spoke the least English, but we managed to sort out checking in ok - with a little help from her young grandaughter.
The location was excellent - in walking distance from the central train station, about 2 minutes walk from the nearest tram stop which went into the centre near La Scala and the Duomo. There were also underground stations nearby - at Central station and Republicca - also a short walk away. If you don't mind walking, you could manage without using any public transport - you can walk through a park to get to the centre. There are restaurants nearby. There were various shops near too, a supermarket was just over the road. It was also close to Corso Buenos Aires where there are loads of shops.
